Nanshe Sea Island
400 million years hence

As Pangaea Ultima broke up, a waterway formed between the two new supercontinents. This channel is named the Nanshe Sea. A row of tropical islands has formed in a shallower part of this sea, not far from the eastern coast of Zephyr. This atoll is surrounded by algal reefs, which give way to more open expanses of water.

Most fish went extinct in the Barbaran-Joaquinian Extinction. In their wake, crustaceans, worms, and mollusks have now taken over many aquatic niches. Swimming mollusks and crustaceans are fed upon by fishing insects, which crowd the coasts in large swarms. These fishing-flies are in turn hunted by some of the last tetrapods still alive.
