Resources

Sometimes I like putting together informative resources that other people can freely use and reference.

Paleocolor list

This list aims to be a comprehensive compilation of "paleocolor" - every piece of evidence that may indicate coloration of prehistoric life, ranging from preserved melanosomes to oral histories. If you know of anything that is not on this list, please contact me to let me know so I can include it!

Molecular paleontology list

In a similar vein to the paleocolor list, this list aims to offer a comprehensive compilation of instances of preserved biomolecules (DNA, proteins, lipids, etc.) and cellular material known for extinct and prehistoric life. Again, if you know of a publication/sample that is not included, please let me know!

Feather diversity guide

An infographic guide to the wide variety of filamentous integument that have evolved in extinct and living Avemetatarsalia. I made this with the intent to demonstrate that feather evolution was significantly more complex than the "five stages" model.

Skeletal reconstructions

Sometimes I may make diagrams of skull or skeletal reconstructions of pterosaurs. I rarely find the time nowadays, but if I get the opportunity, I'll post them below.
