Exhibits based on After Man

After Man: A Zoology of the Future is a 1981 book written by author and geologist Dougal Dixon. It illustrates the wildlife of Earth 50 million years in the future. It's considered a pioneering work in the genre of speculative evolution, and has been highly influential on later works. It's particularly popular in Japan, where a 90-minute television documentary based on the book aired in 1990.

Four exhibitions based on the book have been created over the years, portraying the life of the Posthomic Period through models and animatronics. This site aims to document these exhibits as comprehensively as possible through summaries, images, and video clips.
