Die Tiere der Zukunft ("Animals of the Future") was an outdoor exhibit at Serengeti-Park, a combo zoo and theme park (think Disney's Animal Kingdom or Busch Gardens) in Hodenhagen, Germany. It was a walk-through path, winding through a grassy area featuring animatronics of several creatures from After Man, as well as a globe of Dixon's future world. Based on video tours,1 these were:
Rundihorn
Rootsucker
Woolly Gigantelope
Common Rabbuck
Reedstilt
Giantala (with baby in pouch)
Shurrack
Posset
Night Stalker
Zarander
Turmi
Helmeted Hornhead
Die Tiere der Zukunft opened in May 2020,2 to supplement the park's popular dinosaur and ice age animatronic exhibits.3 It closed between March and December 2024. The space was rethemed and reopened in 2025 Ozeania, with models of tropical Pacific marine life. The Night Stalker animatronic (now immobile) remains as of April 2025, however.4 I suppose the Batavian islands are part of Oceania...
